Addicted to Recovery

We are from Ocean Hills Alcohol and drug Rehab in Napier. Elaine who is now 17 yrs plus in recovery from Alcohol addiction and Stephanie Addiction Clinician and Registered nurse working in Mental Health and addictions for the last 16yrs. We are “addicted to recovery” We plan to introduce and discuss some of the challenges around making changes to addictive behaviours. With a particular focus on alcohol misuse.
Why make change in the first place. Where do you start? Is sobriety for you? What is it exactly? How do you live your best life? What does that look like?
We will talk about supporting and understanding a whanau/family member or friend struggling with addiction. Caring for yourself while you do it.
We will share some hot tips tools and strategies delivered with empathy and humour.
