You can now listen to Radio Kidnappers via the Internet !
For best results, you will need a broadband connection to the Internet (a dial-up connection is unlikely to give satisfactory results), plus "Windows Media Player" software or similar. A recent or relatively-modern computer is also desirable.
There are two distinctly different ways to receive Radio Kidnappers on the Internet -
Click this button and you will hear our programme 'live' as it is being broadcast (via your Player software which should start automatically). This stream runs continuously - ie 24hrs a day, 7 days a week. Check our Schedule and NoticeBoard pages for full details of what you can hear and when.
Click this button and you will be connected to the Access Internet Radio database. This will supply you with a menu page from which you can select the previously-broadcast programme/s you wish to download to your computer for later playing. You will find a selection of past Radio Kidnappers' programmes there, as well as a range of similar material from the several other Access stations around NZ which are part of Access Internet Radio.
Where necessary, the downloadable programmes will have had any music content trimmed or edited out. This is so as to comply with current copyright law.
Downloadable programmes remain available for a maximum of 6 months from date of broadcast.
You do not have to pay Radio Kidnappers for using either of the above facilities. However, you still have to pay your normal service-charges to your Internet Service Provider (ISP). If in general you intend doing a lot of streaming/downloading, we suggest you check with your ISP that you are on the Plan which best suits you.
We will be continuing to fine-tune and streamline these facilities over the coming months with the help of any feedback we receive from listeners. So please let us have your comments (good or not-so-good) about your Internet listening experience so that we can respond with any improvements which may be needed.
