Grey Power is a national lobby-group which was formed to help secure a better deal for the large number of NZ citizens aged over 50. It focuses on both wellness and wellbeing.
The local ½-hour programme has been running on Radio Kidnappers for several years, and brings news of Grey Power activities and projects - including dates of interest to members - as well as a commentary on current political and similar events affecting the wider age-group. They regularly have guests on the programme who can enlighten us with their knowledge in specialist areas. In between the spoken segments, you can hear a selection of interesting music.
The Grey Power programme on Radio Kidnappers was started by another strong Grey Power advocate, Marie Dunningham, back in 2001. Marie was the presenter right through to early 2008 when Norma took over. Both ladies have been motivated by a real desire to spread the Grey Power message and to keep our more senior listeners abreast of relevant news and events.
If you have any comments or feedback about the programme, or any news about events or projects of interest, Norma would love to hear from you! You can write to her C/- Radio Kidnappers.

You can also catch Norma on her popular and enjoyable "Citizens' Brass" band-music programme on Radio Kidnappers (Friday evenings, fortnightly).
