The Hawke's Bay Multiple Sclerosis Society has been working with people who have MS and other neurological disorders, for the past 31 years. The Society's main focus is to support and advocate for people with MS within the HB District health Board area.
In 2007, "certain persons who shall remain nameless" suggested to Robyn, our Field Officer, that she come to a meeting at Radio Kidnappers, the outcome of which was that she suddenly found herself in charge of presenting a monthly programme on behalf of the Society! However, it has been a very enjoyable experience, and we try to fill the programme with helpful information and news for people with MS and similar disorders, as well as playing some great music.
As well as our occasional invited guest, members of the Society regularly join the programme to tell the listeners about recent outings and events which have occurred, or to discuss something of special interest.
