WOMEN'S VOICES features commentary, guest discussions and Michelle's own learned opinions on the full spectrum of issues that women are facing in the 21st century - work, family, health, politics, men .....
Michelle's 20-year history with community participation is academically supported and informed by her
Certificate in Women's Studies (Auckland University, 1995), and recent graduation from SMI Inc's
Leadership for Women programme.
Michelle is contracted by the Department of Work & Income as its East Coast Region's
In-Work Support Co-ordinator, providing hands-on back-up to sole parents (and other beneficiaries) who are transitioning from a benefit to starting paid work. Michelle says it's like having a big sister to look after you through the first 6 months of your working life!
"Women's Voices" gives thanks to Lottery Hawke's Bay Community for funding this programme.
If you have any feedback or suggestions regarding "Women's Voices", please

Michelle is also part of the "Unplugged & Mildly Dangerous" team on Friday mornings.
Michelle's other community activities:
The Revolving Wardrobe - work-ready clothing for those seeking or starting work. Available through referral from a community organisation and self-referrals too.
Rape Crisis HB - Michelle's major community project for 2007 is establishing this service, which will be opened in early 2008.
